Today's multi-channel theater sound systems bring an unprecedented level of power, realism, and excitement to the film soundtracks you experience in movie theaters. And now, advancements in decoding technology have brought sophisticated multi-channel movie sound reproduction into the home. Technics home theater receivers offer all features you'll find particularly exciting for high-performance playback on both movies and your favorite music. This receiver has a Dolby Digital/DTS decoder built-in for full 5.1-channel sound out of the box. Of course, it also has six-channel input for an external DD/DTS decoder, such as Technics' SH-AC500D. The SA-DX930 delivers 100W to each of the five main channels (1kHz, 8 ohms, 0.9% THD) or 100W x 2 in stereo mode (20Hz-20kHz, 8 ohms, 0.05% THD). With Technics' Sound Field Control, the receiver can simulate a variety of performance environments even with non-surround sources. Users can select Hall, Club, Live, Theater and Simulated Surround (for mono sources). Other features include subwoofer outputs for direct connection of an active subwoofer; front A/V inputs, useful for temporary connections such as a camcorder; large speaker terminals in the rear; and a universal, DVD-capable remote control. The SA-DX930 can handle four audio and three video sources, including two digital sources.

±1±: Best Buy I bought this SADX930 when Ward's closed for good. Well ya the fuse blew but I put the 1.6 fuse in and no problems since. What I did for the heat was drilled a hole (with a dremel) just above where the power thing is (by the fan) it is 12v so its kinda loud BUT the system runs cool even when left on for long periods of time. The only reason this doesn't get a 5 star is because it never has been able to play DTS, it always detects dolby digital 5.1 but not the DTS. I read somewhere that someone was having the same problem and said something about going to the repair shop and getting a new one put in (haven't tried this yet). Other then that the thing is a great intro product. While I wouldn't suggest to anyone to go out and get this, if your low on cash and don't mind moding something a little its realy not that bad. on Sale!
